IFS associate Edin Mujagić publishes his fifth book: ‘Turning point 1971'

Edin Mujagić (b. 1977, Bosnia-Herzegovina) is a macro- and monetary economist, speaker and publicist, chief economist at OHV Vermogensbeheer and part of a five-member team of monetary experts that advises the Dutch Parliament. Edin has been a friend of IFS for just under two decades, has given guest lectures for IFS clients, whom he advises as well, and he has published 'Economic Perspectives'® every fortnight exclusively for IFS subscribers, since 2013, in which he shares his views on the current state of the economy in the US (Global) and in Europe.

‘Keerpunt 1971', the fifth book by Edin Mujagić
We would like to bring his books to your attention, this time his fifth book ‘Keerpunt 1971’. Beginning August 2021, Edin's new book will be published. He writes:

‘On Sunday, 15 August 1971, President Richard Nixon announced the most important economic event since the invention of money, changing the economy and our society forever. The advent of the euro and bitcoin, negative savings rates, the working poor, tensions with China, the crisis since 2007 and much more, turn out to have been caused in '1971' with the untying of the gold standard; a turning point in our history.
Based on many conversations over the years with, among others, the spiritual father of that decision in 1971, Paul Volcker (former Fed Chairman and advisor to President Obama) and lessons from history, Edin describes the developments and predicts a new period of economic prosperity.’

It can be pre-ordered at your local bookstore and at Bol.com. Previous publications of Edin are: ‘De Centrale banken’, ‘Monetaire geschiedenis van Nederland’, ‘Geldmoord’, ‘Boeiend en geboeid’. http://www.1971.nu/ is Edins website and contains information, news items and interviews on the subject.
