Boeiend en geboeid: a monetary history of The Netherlands since 1814-1816

The latest book of Edin Mujagic, a macro and monetary economist, officially saw the daylight on July 13th, 2016 when it was given to the president of DNB (De Nederlandsche Bank), Klaas Knot. The book covers 200 years of monetary history, starting by the coming into existence of both the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the DNB in 1814.

Social project
In order to reduce the ‘lack of knowledge of our monetary history’, Mujagic shall supply all Dutch secondary schools with a section economy with a free copy of the book. Subsequently, he shall visit the schools to start a dialogue with both economy and social science students and teachers. IFS wholeheartedly supports this social project.

Edin Mujagic (1977, Bosnia-Herzegovina) is a macro and monetary economist and author of several books. He studied macroeconomics at the University of Tilburg, where he currently works on his dissertation. He previously worked as a financial analyst and editor at both the business magazine FEM Business and The Financial Times. In 2009 Edin published 'Ten years of the euro: biography of a young world currency', in 2010 'The inflation ghost’, in 2010 ‘Money Murder’ and lastly 'The Future of the EU(RO)’. Lastly, he published “Boeiend en geboeid” (2016).
