ANITA GERRITS

After graduating from the University of Tilburg in 1987, Anita Gerrits (1965) joined the paper mill PAGE as assistant controller. In eight years’ time she got promoted to become the general manager of the Dutch branch of the multinational Kimberly-Clark and continued to build a very successful international finance career within the group. She was closely involved in determining the strategy for the European consumer organisation, the reorganisation and transformation of the European financial organisation and various business turnarounds in different European countries. Most recently she was responsible for a significant reduction (-25%) of working capital at the European subsidiaries of the group. She was nominated for her performance with the prestigious World Class Finance award.
Late 2009 she established herself as independent business economic advisor for small and large companies.

In 2009 Anita attended the postgraduate education Credit Rating Advisory at Nyenrode Business University, which she successfully completed in 2010 with a registration as Credit Rating Advisor (CRAd). Subsequently, she completed the postgraduate study Business Valuation at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2011.

Anita has been an enthusiastic advocate of Supply Chain Finance, since 2009. She writes and speaks about this topic, hoping to inspire more companies to put this topic on their financial agenda. As SCF expert she attends and chairs meetings at the Ministry of Economic Affairs as well as various Universities and Colleges. Anita Gerrits has an extensive business network, and knows, like no other, the ins and outs in the area of Supply Chain Finance.
